Definition of Mentoring
The government announced last year that Small and Medium enterprise would strengthen the economy and would help to drive forward those who wanted to startup a business and support those successful businesses through strategic planning with banks.

a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task. Volunteer with us, gain experience for yourself and help us deliver this worthwhile service.
A one-to-one, non judgmental relationship in which an individual voluntarily gives time and support to encourage another, usually to achieve certain goals. The relationship is typically developed in a time of transition in the mentee’s life and last for a significant and sustained period of time. The role of a volunteer Mentor is to meet with a person on a weekly (or agreed regular) basis as arranged at a mutually agreed time and place. They act as a role model and can become a confidant providing a listening ear and emotional and practical support. They enable a person to explore their options using communication skills and enable decision making.

Network Employment, Mersey Care NHS Trust can provide you with one to one support, advice and guidance from an experienced Employment Advisor.They will introduce you to a Business Advisor from Elect, who will work with you to help you complete a business plan and can offer access to a range of further training and workshops.class of learners

You can also have a volunteer mentor. A mentor is a non-judgmental person who you build a trusting relationship with. They will offer support, encouragement and feedback, and will help and enable you to become empowered without telling you what to do. They can also be a sounding board and a source of knowledge, ideas and options.And above all else they listen, listen and listen some more.

What type of business can I start?
That’s up to you! We believe that you are the biggest expert on your idea, The project aims to support you to explore your idea in more detail and plan how you can achieve it. Examples of businesses started include taxi driving, gas fitting, holistic therapy, clock making, mural painting.
